Mid-America Elevator is part of American Elevator Group (AEG), the largest independent elevator service company in North America, consisting of a collection of well-established elevator service companies operating throughout the United States. Backed by Arcline Investment Management, AEG has a significant footprint in the elevator industry and is rapidly growing. We are looking for an experienced Service Mechanic to work in the Indianapolis, Indiana metro area to help us continue providing our customers with the best services possible.

We are looking for an experienced Technician to help us continue providing our customers with the best services possible. In this role you will be providing repair services on rack and pinion and some hydraulic elevators, ensuring elevators are in proper working order.

  • Successful candidates will possess 5+ years of experience as a Mechanic
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals and/or related technical documents
  • Experience as a route mechanic
  • Ability to follow established safety, maintenance and/or testing procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Previous experience with rack & pinion and/or crane repair experience is helpful
  • CET is strongly preferred.
