Job description

Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking a Cloud/DevOps System Architect to join their team. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, administering Azure Cloud platforms, and collaborating with development teams to streamline integration and deployment processes.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing of applications.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows Servers (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Administer and maintain Azure Cloud platforms.
• Azure DevOps Deployments
• Provide expertise in Azure infrastructure as code
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline the integration and deployment processes.
• Monitor Azure services system performance, analyze trends, and implement enhancements to improve efficiency.
• Conduct regular system upgrades, patches, and backups in adherence to security best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify infrastructure needs and develop scalable solutions and ensure that it meets the needs of the business requirements.
• Troubleshoot incidents and provide technical support. Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems for Azure services.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
• Participate in on-call rotation to address critical issues outside of regular business hours.
• Works in a fast paced, agile distributed environment.
• Supports fellow team members as required.
• Support on-call rotation
• Must be available to support core business hours in the US West/East time zone
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in support Azure services
• Linux/Windows Server administration and DevOps.
• Proficient in production software development processes, including release management, builds, and version control.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft/Linux Azure containers and their theory of operation.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Active Directory in a production environment.
• Good appreciation of information security concepts such as segregation, threat surfaces, and the importance of vulnerability management.
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player and leader, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Support on-call rotation.
• Organizational abilities and proven multitasking skills.
Preferred:
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer) would be a plus.
