Senior Full-Stack Application & Integration Developer

Job Summary:

The Senior Full-Stack Application & Integration Developer leads continued development of Valley Iron's customer portal and designs business applications integrating with the ERP and other enterprise platforms. The role works directly with IT leadership and business stakeholders to build and maintain applications that improve customer experience and streamline operations, serving as the company's primary software development resource and subject matter expert for custom software development.

Essential Functions:

  • Take ownership of the existing customer portal and continue expanding the platform.
  • Design and develop customer-facing and internal business applications, including REST APIs, workflow automation tools, reporting dashboards, administrative applications, and background processing services.
  • Own the architecture of the customer portal and internally developed applications.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, development tools, architecture, and long-term development strategies.
  • Establish coding standards, documentation practices, development workflows, and software development best practices.
  • Design scalable, maintainable software solutions and ensure long-term maintainability of internally developed applications.
  • Develop and maintain ERP integrations and connect third-party vendor, customer, and supplier systems.
  • Integrate Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft 365, Azure services, and REST APIs.
  • Meet directly with department managers and end users to understand business processes and operational requirements.
  • Identify automation opportunities and translate operational requirements into practical software solutions.
  • Recommend improvements that increase efficiency and improve the customer experience.
  • Prioritize projects, estimate development effort, manage technical debt, document solutions, and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Balance immediate business needs with long-term maintainability.
  • Partner with company leadership and serve as Valley Iron's subject matter expert for custom software development.
  • Work independently and make technical decisions without day-to-day guidance from another software developer.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Experience Required: 5+ years of Software Development

Skills Required:
