Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Thurs & Fri) required to be onsite at the location listed above.**Subject to change per the hiring team
 
Interviews will be conducted:

Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigates problem areas. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
 
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the service of one (1) Software Engineer 3 position who meets the general qualifications of Software Engineer 3 and the specifications outlined in this document for the above-named customer. The Software Engineer 3 contractor position is part of the HHSC IT Administrative Applications Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team and will play a crucial role in designing, developing, maintaining automation and document intelligence solutions that transform large, complex data sources. The Software Engineer 3 will perform advanced developer duties including solution design, automation development, document ingestion and analysis, search enablement, infrastructure support, collaboration across teams, and continuous improvement. The contractor role will focus on robotics and document processing technologies that may include Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Automate, Azure, and PDF/document processing frameworks. This position will be responsible for developing, testing, and supporting solutions that automate business processes and convert large multi hundred-page PDFs and data packages into structured, navigable, and actionable intake artifacts. The work will occur in a fast paced Agile (Kanban/Scrum) environment.

Minimum Requirements:

8     Required    Experience building analytics based on structured/unstructured data

4     Preferred   Proficiency in the Java programming language
