While their technical responsibilities are similar to those of any software developer, they often prioritize projects that support Christian missions or ethical software development.

What kinds of projects does a Christian software developer typically work on, and how does faith influence the work environment?

Christian Software Developers often work on projects for churches, non-profit ministries, faith-based organizations, or businesses that prioritize Christian values, developing applications for community engagement, donation platforms, or educational content. The work environment usually emphasizes collaboration, ethical development practices, and a supportive atmosphere that encourages open discussion of values and purpose. Faith may influence meetings, decision-making, or team culture, with shared principles guiding both technical and interpersonal aspects of the job. About the Team

The Subsplash Product and Engineering Team is responsible for all products that the company develops including the tools and services we offer our clients as well as the App Platform that serves our clients' end users. Required Education + Experience
  • 7+ years of full time programming experience in a group/team environment

  • Significant experience with server-side web technologies (Examples: Unix/Linux, Golang, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB)
  • Networking and Network Security proficiency
  • Experience protecting against security risks such as XSS, SQL Injection, appropriate use of SSL, session hijacking etc.
  • Experience, knowledge, and mindfulness of security best practices with server-side and client-side (e.g. Javascript) languages as well as industry standards
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or similar hosting providers
  • Experience writing technical documentation and proposals
  • Value collaboration, reviewing others work, mentoring others, as well as receiving constructive feedback
  • Able to navigate ambiguous requirements while prioritizing multiple projects, tasks, and bug fixes
  • Ability to mentor others, communicate complex technical requirements with clarity, and the ability to influence others' technical design decisions
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation as needed
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience with Golang, Microservice architecture, NGINX, Redis, and PHP
  • Extensive knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JSON, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Solid understanding of OAuth2 and Authentication protocols
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Knowledge of data security best practices related to PCI/DSS/CISP/SOC2
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Experience with AI-driven development agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and integrating LLMs into the SDLC to significantly accelerate engineering velocity.
  • Proficiency in prompt engineering and agent orchestration, with an ability to effectively review, debug, and refine code generated by agents.
  • Understanding of AI-native development patterns, including managing agent-specific context (e.g., CLAUDE.md), utilizing Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations, and adhering to automated guardrails for security and code quality.
  • Strong product-design intuition to define requirements, oversee agent-led implementation, and maintain high code quality in a high-velocity, automated environment.
