We are seeking an ambitious Senior Microsoft Security Engineer for our Security Engineering team in the Professional Services division. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft security technologies and a solid systems administration background. This role suits a security professional who excels in client-facing settings and enjoys working on diverse enterprise implementations. You will be responsible for translating security requirements into scalable solutions while upholding Bridewell's high delivery standards. As a Microsoft Gold Partner, we require professionals who stay updated with Microsoft's security ecosystem and can confidently guide clients through transformation initiatives.

Requirements

You'll engage with clients in various critical infrastructure sectors to enhance their Microsoft security posture, handling projects from short-term implementations to long-term transformations. Your role includes working with technologies like Microsoft Sentinel, the Defender suite, and Purview, while collaborating with client IT teams to ensure effective adoption. As the technical lead, you'll provide expertise in design workshops, conduct proof-of-concepts, and align solutions with industry best practices, leveraging your systems administration background to address underlying infrastructure issues that affect security tool performance.

What we're looking for 

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field 
  • Four years or more of hands-on experience implementing Microsoft security technologies (Sentinel, Defender suite)  
  • Proven experience in Windows systems administration and Active Directory management 
  • Strong PowerShell scripting capabilities for automation and security tasks  
  • Deep understanding of Windows security, authentication protocols, and hardening techniques 
  • Experience with Azure AD/Entra ID security features including Conditional Access and PIM 
  • Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, MITRE ATT&CK)

Preferred Certifications (not all required): 

  • Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200) 
  • Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) 
  • Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)

Location: This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely. However, you will be required to travel to client sites as needed based on project requirements. Travel frequency will vary depending on client needs and project phases, with some engagements requiring regular on-site presence while others may be delivered remotely. Currently, this role will require weekly on-site travel to Los Angeles, California.
