Job Summary:
Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Microsoft SCCM / MECM System Administrator to support and enhance enterprise endpoint management initiatives for the State of South Carolina. The consultant will be responsible for designing, administering, maintaining, and securing the agency’s MECM/SCCM and MDT infrastructure in a fully remote enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
• Administer, design, deploy, and support enterprise MECM/SCCM and MDT infrastructure
• Ensure reliable software distribution, patching, reporting, and OS deployments (OSD)
• Develop, maintain, and refresh multiple Windows OS images
• Configure and manage application deployments for endpoint devices
• Monitor MECM/SCCM infrastructure performance, logs, and event data
• Improve endpoint compliance, security posture, and operational efficiency
• Manage SUP, WSUS, and SQL Server configurations related to SCCM
• Support Intune co-management and modern endpoint management
• Implement and maintain security controls aligned with state and CJIS standards
• Provide documentation, operational support, and knowledge transfer
• Participate in change management, risk identification, and mitigation
• Communicate effectively with IT teams, business users, and vendors
• Adhere to state IT policies, SOPs, disaster recovery, and incident response procedures
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of enterprise MECM/SCCM and MDT administration
• 5+ years experience with Windows OS deployments, imaging, and refreshes
• Strong experience developing and implementing multiple OS images
• 5+ years experience with Software Update Points (SUP)
• 5+ years experience with WSUS integrations
• 5+ years experience with SQL Server configurations related to SCCM
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory
• Hands-on experience with Entra AD / Hybrid AD (AADDC)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (co-management)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE)
• Experience with SCCM hierarchy (CAS, Primary, Secondary sites)
• Strong knowledge of boundary groups, distribution points, and content strategy
Preferred:
• Advanced expertise in Windows infrastructure, logging, and event handling
• Client settings and deployment strategies
• Compliance settings, baselines, and client health monitoring
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills
• Experience with logon scripts and logon performance optimization
