Job description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer for a contract position of 6+ months based in Lansing, Michigan. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement customizable Salesforce solutions to support enterprise contact center operations. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements, take ownership of release cycles, and ensure solutions adhere to security guidelines and long-term strategic goals.

Responsibilities
  • Work with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and enhancements.
  • Ensure technical requirements align with customer requirements, performance goals, and the client's long-term strategy.
  • Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new and updated applications and code.
  • Assume overall technical responsibility for project environments.
  • Compile internal development guidelines and standards for the development team and ensure adherence.
  • Collaborate with developers for other systems to enable cross-business integration.
  • Ensure proposed solutions adhere to security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Deliver business value by leveraging technology and communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level.
  • Devise a training plan for the development team to support a smooth transition to Maintenance & Operations.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Participate in all phases of Salesforce lifecycle implementations.
  • Write Apex programming, Visualforce pages, Apex triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components.
  • Implement solutions using configurations such as Flows, process builders, and workflow rules.

  • Implement various authentication protocols, including OAuth, to integrate third-party applications.
  • Demonstrate successful implementation of Batch Apex and Schedule Apex development.
  • Own all end-to-end technical aspects of Salesforce programs, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, third‑party applications, AppExchange products, and custom development.
  • Define, communicate, and manage technical change management processes for Salesforce technology efforts.
  • Assess Salesforce architecture and provide secure, high-performance technical solutions.
  • Design and document technical architecture solutions spanning multiple platforms, including integration and authentication across systems.
  • Support SFDX development, branch management, merging, and code deployment activities using Azure DevOps build CI/CD processes.
  • Identify risks and issues from a technical perspective.
Qualifications
  • Required
    • 6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience.
    • Demonstrated hands‑on experience with Salesforce, including SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle.
    • 4+ years of experience developing within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript.
    • 5+ years of experience working with Service Cloud.
    • 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce Digital Experience Sites.
    • Strong experience migrating from Classic to Lightning.
    • Experience migrating Legacy Visualforce Portals to Digital Experience Sites.
    • 5+ years of experience with GoMeddo Scheduling customization, or equivalent experience with similar scheduling products.
    • 5+ years of experience with Conga Composer.
    • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC.
  • Preferred
    • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
    • Salesforce Experience Cloud certification.
    • 5+ years of experience working with Service Cloud and/or Health Cloud.
    • 2+ years of experience with API integrations and Single Sign‑On (SSO) implementations.
