Job description

GG TEQ is seeking a Microsoft Cloud & Software Business Specialist to help grow our Microsoft practice and broader software/cloud business across North America.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong Microsoft licensing expertise with a commercial understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem, including the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program, Enterprise Agreements (EA), Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA), Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilot, partner incentives, funding programs, and distributor engagement.

You will work closely with our Account Executives, Microsoft, distribution partners, and strategic software publishers to support customer opportunities, licensing strategy, cloud adoption, business development, and partner program execution.

  • Serve as GG TEQ’s internal subject matter expert for Microsoft licensing, cloud commercial programs, and software publisher opportunities.
  • Advise Account Executives on Microsoft 365, Azure, Copilot, CSP, EA, MCA, renewals, licensing optimization, and customer licensing strategy.
  • Support Azure consumption growth, CSP migrations, Change of Channel Partner opportunities, customer transitions, and cloud adoption initiatives.
  • Help identify Microsoft commercial opportunities tied to renewals, migrations, optimization, security, productivity, collaboration, and cloud modernization.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Microsoft account teams, distributor teams, licensing specialists, partner development contacts, and strategic publisher representatives.
  • Identify and coordinate Microsoft funding and incentive opportunities, including ECIF, MDF, Azure migration programs, partner incentives, and relevant co-sell or enablement motions.
  • Support customer meetings, proposals, licensing reviews, solution positioning, and internal sales enablement.
  • Partner with sales and leadership to create repeatable motions for Microsoft CSP, Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and broader cloud/software opportunities.
  • Stay current on Microsoft licensing updates, CSP program changes, cloud offerings, promotions, incentives, and software publisher programs.
  • Support GG TEQ’s broader software and cloud practice by developing awareness of AWS, GCP, and other strategic publisher programs.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of Microsoft licensing, cloud, software, or partner ecosystem experience within a VAR, MSP, distributor, LSP, Microsoft, or technology solutions provider.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft CSP, Enterprise Agreements, Microsoft 365, Azure, MCA, and Microsoft Partner Center.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft funding programs, partner incentives, licensing models, and commercial cloud programs.
  • Ability to support sales teams with customer-facing licensing guidance, proposal support, and opportunity strategy.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer-facing skills.
  • Comfortable working with Account Executives, vendors, distributors, and internal operations teams.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to simplify complex licensing and program information for sales teams and customers

Preferred

  • Microsoft, Azure, or licensing-related certifications.
  • Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Veeam, Adobe, VMware/Broadcom, cybersecurity, backup/data protection, or other major software publishers.
  • Experience working with Microsoft field teams, Partner Development Managers, distributor licensing teams, or vendor alliance teams.
  • Understanding of multi-cloud strategies, cloud migration programs, marketplace models, and customer modernization initiatives.
  • Experience supporting sales enablement, internal training, customer proposals, webinars, campaigns, or vendor-funded initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary + Bonuses
  • Health benefits
  • Career advancement opportunities.
  • 99% remote work environment.
