The Power BI Developer will lead the design, strategy, and governance of the enterprise BI platform using Microsoft Power BI. This role involves assessing infrastructure requirements, defining best practices, guiding BI Engineers, enabling security, handling large data, and ensuring scalable, high-performing BI solutions that align with business needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Design scalable BI solutions with a focus on infrastructure, capacity, and licensing needs.
  • Conduct capability assessments to align Power BI adoption with enterprise goals.
  • Define and enforce Power BI governance frameworks, including security, data access, and workspace strategy.
  • Provide effort estimations and delivery planning for BI initiatives.
  • Establish and manage a central metric store for standardized KPIs and calculations.
  • Oversee data refresh automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting at scale.
  • Guide and mentor BI Engineers on best practices in DAX, modeling, performance optimization, and visualization standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Troubleshoot and speed up slow reports by optimizing measures and data structures.
  • Manage report security, including Row-Level Security (RLS), to protect sensitive info.
