Location: Irvine, CA

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Power BI Developer with deep expertise in the Microsoft data stack to design, develop, and maintain high-performance interactive dashboards and enterprise reports. In this consulting role, you will act as the critical translator between complex data sets and business leadership, converting technical requirements into intuitive, executive-ready visualizations that drive actionable decision-making.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional DAX and SQL skills, is deeply familiar with advanced data modeling, and has a proven track record of delivering clean, scalable reporting solutions in dynamic consulting environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain highly interactive Power BI dashboards and enterprise reports.

  • Gather and translate complex business requirements into clean, user-friendly, and effective data visualizations.

  • Develop and optimize robust data models, custom measures, and calculations using advanced DAX.

  • Connect Power BI to multiple disparate data sources while ensuring strict data accuracy and optimal dashboard performance.

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their strategic reporting needs and recommend modern visualization solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex dashboard performance bottlenecks, data refresh errors, and modeling issues.

  • Follow established BI development standards, dashboard design best practices, and enterprise tenant governance protocols.

  • Support ongoing enhancements, migrations, and maintenance of existing Power BI assets.

Qualifications & Required Skills

  • Power BI Mastery: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, including extensive experience with complex data modeling, row-level security (RLS), and writing advanced DAX.

  • Data Integration: Proven experience connecting Power BI to SQL databases, cloud data warehouses, and diverse enterprise data sources.

  • Technical Skills: Strong SQL skills for writing efficient queries, performing data transformations, and working with Power Query (M) or ETL concepts.

  • Consulting Mindset: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple project priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications
