Job description

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Power Platform Specialist will focus on creating business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI. The role involves leveraging low-code development to build scalable, user-friendly applications that automate and streamline processes and boost productivity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop custom applications using Power Apps to support Empire’s operational teams.
  • Automate workflows and processes with Power Automate to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business scope. 
  • Test, debug, and validate applications for functionality, performance, and security before deployment.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and updates for existing solutions.
  • Document technical designs, user guides, and process flows.
  • Adhere to Microsoft’s best practices for governance, security, and data compliance.
  • Support user training and adoption of Power Platform solutions.
  • Create an environment of ownership and personal accountability through influence where each person is responsible and accountable for their and their teams’ performance.
  • Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Provide basic/ongoing technical training to assure correct usage of developed apps and flows.
  • Work within and promote corporate values.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, AI Agents).
  • Familiarity with low-code development and building business applications.
  • Must have an understanding of Dataverse or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of connectors, APIs, and integration methods.
  • Basic proficiency in Power FX.
  • Experience with SQL, or similar database systems.
  • Experience with using and managing SharePoint lists.
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
  • Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics and/or 1-2 years equivalent experience.
  • Low code/Power Platform development experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
