Location: Remote preferred, ideally based in or near New York City for occasional onsite meetings
Duration: 3-6 month contract with possible extension

Overview
We are seeking a consultant with strong communication skills and a foundational infrastructure background to assist with software license and subscription management across cloud and on-prem environments. The consultant will help create visibility into current software assets, usage, consumption, and costs while identifying optimization and rationalization opportunities.
This is a hands-on consulting engagement ideal for someone with experience in IT asset management, software licensing, infrastructure operations, or SaaS administration.
Responsibilities
  • Assessand organize existing software/license inventory data from a rudimentarydatabase
  • Createand maintain a centralized inventory of software licenses, subscriptions,and cloud services
  • Trackutilization, consumption, ownership, renewal dates, and spending trends
  • Identifyoptimization and rationalization opportunities across platforms and tools
    • Example:overlap between collaboration tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams
  • Reviewcloud and non-cloud licensing environments for redundancy and under utilization
  • Providerecommendations for governance, reporting, and ongoing managementprocesses
  • Recommenda long-term solution/tool set for license and subscription management
  • Workwith infrastructure, operations, procurement, and business stakeholders asneeded
  • Presentfindings and recommendations clearly to leadership and technical teams
