Job description

Role: Microsoft Dynamic 365 Finance Functional Lead
Location: Rosemont, IL (onsite)
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • 15+ Years Minimum Experience in AX/D365FO
  • 6+ End-to-End implementation experience is a must.
  • Core Product knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, Dynamics AX 2012 R3
  • Core finance domain knowledge
  • Control the whole record-to-result process, including the upkeep of the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial closing procedures.
  • To increase efficiency and effectiveness, monitor, assess, and pinpoint opportunities for improvement in the current processes.
  • Strong knowledge in General ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed asset, Budget, Cash and Bank management, Project management & accounting, Cost accounting, Management Reporter etc
  • Logical mapping of number sequence, accounting structure setup, Dimension setup, ledger allocation and re-paid accounting,
  • Various tax setups, Automatic bank reconciliation, Asset and depreciation, Project, Project contract, Project hierarchy setup,
  • WBS, estimation and elimination, timesheet, revenue recognition, etc.
  • Good understanding for business processes and data migration through data entities

Compliance and Audit:
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and external regulations.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any identified issues or recommendations.
  • Process Improvement and Systems Enhancement:
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements to streamline the record to result process and improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and test system changes, ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption.
  • Good experience in requirement gatherings, workshop, presentation, and application demo.
  • Good in project documentation - FRD, FDD, User guide, Fit-gap, etc.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Functional solution design for customization - process, report, and integration
  • Experience in end-to-end project implementation, various phases of project lifecycle
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on record to result processes and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and software (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, financial reporting tools).
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • D365FO Certification is a plus (MB-920, MB-300 & MB-310
