Job Summary:
The Technical Solutions Architect exists to provide expertise for clients in performing technical business process management activities. The Technical Solutions Architect's primary focus is to lead the client and to collaborate with the Technical Architecture team in determining best practices and efficient processes. The Technical Solutions Architect utilizes their knowledge of the applications and tools to guide the delivery team and the Functional Architecture team in order to configure and enhance the applications to implement the processes as designed. The Technical Solutions Architect is the lead conduit between business process owners and executives at the client and the technical and the functional teams to ensure the application meets the agreed requirements.
Job Duties:
The Technical Solution Architect will participate in and lead the following job duties as directed:
  • Diagnose:
    • Works with the Functional Solutions Architect to understand the overall scope and approach for the project
    • Oversees all environment management activities
    • Understands the go forward set of applications and the integration methodologies that will be employed
    • Understands initial expectations as it relates to Data Migration requirements
    • Collects non-functional requirements for routine jobs and services that will be required as part of the overall solution
  • Analyze:
    • Coordinates with Functional Architecture team to ensure all enhancement requirements have been collected and to the appropriate level of detail
    • Assists with the identification and documentation of data migration requirements
    • Partners with the Functional Solutions Architect on Independent Software Vendor analysis and implementation
    • Collaborates with the Functional Solutions Architect in reviewing "gap" requirements and their high-level design to ensure technical feasibility and approach
    • Provides high-level estimates for proposed enhancements
    • Recommends strategies for Business Intelligence and Reporting needs
    • Understands key performance requirements
  • Develop:
    • Manages the technical task breakdown for all technical deliverables
    • Provides guidance and support to Technical Consultants on technical tasks
    • Oversees all code management and deployment processes
    • Directs the unit testing process to ensure an acceptable level of quality is achieved before delivering to the client
    • Helps develop the Go-Live strategy
  • Validate:
    • Supervises each wave of testing and code remediation until each deliverable has been satisfied
    • Manages the strategy for performance tuning
  • Deploy and Support:
    • Executes the Go Live deployment plan
    • Provides support for a period after Go-Live to ensure the new processes are functioning as expected and change management has occurred
  • Fosters a positive demeanor, learning attitude and client service mentality with the team
  • Travel - up to 25%, as needed
  • Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Owns and drives completion of key workstreams by team members directed by project leaders
  • Manages project workstreams as directed
  • Mentors and develops entry level consultants and senior consultants

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree AND six (6) or more years of technical D365 experience leading projects and technical teams, required; OR
  • High School Diploma/GED AND seven (7) or more years of technical D365 experience leading projects and technical teams, required

Experience:
  • Six (6) or more years of technical D365 experience leading projects and technical teams, required
  • Three (3) or more years in one of the following, required:
    • Enacting software as a business process improvement catalyst
    • Implementing business process improvements
    • Designing and delivering software enhancements
  • Some client facing best practice consulting experience, preferred

License/Certifications:
  • N/A

Software:
  • Experience with four or more of the following development technologies, required:
    • X++
    • .NET/C#
    • SSRS
    • RESTful API Web Services
    • SQL
    • JSON
    • Any additional object-oriented language
  • Experience with one or more of the following implementation technologies, required
    • ADO/Visual Studio/LCS setup and configuration w/ F&O
    • ADO Pipelines and Build Runs (Software Deployable Packages)
    • D365 F&O functional application knowledge
