Roles & Responsibilities
Role Summary
Responsible for end-to-end design, planning, and deployment readiness of Microsoft CorpNet infrastructure across global datacenters. The engineer owns network solution design from project intake through deployment support and project closure, ensuring secure, scalable, and standards-compliant LAN, WAN, and WLAN connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
• Design LAN, WAN, and WLAN network architectures, including IP addressing, VLAN planning, uplinks, and device configurations.
• Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), wireless designs, and Bill of Materials
• Present and defend designs in Microsoft Design Review Boards and obtain technical approvals.
• Collaborate with ITIMs, WWT, Site Operations, CSEO, and deployment teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support deployment execution, perform post-deployment validation, network stability testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure successful project closure through design validation, documentation updates, lessons learned, and operational handover.
• Drive standardization, risk mitigation, and governance across datacentre network deployments globally.
Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise/Data Center Networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN).
• Experience with network design, routing, switching, wireless infrastructure, IP addressing, and network deployment.
• Ability to create technical design documentation, BoMs, and deployment plans.
• Stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation capabilities.
• Experience with large-scale datacenter infrastructure projects is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of networking experience.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent networking certification.
• Exposure to Microsoft datacenter, CorpNet, or large-scale infrastructure deployment programs.
