Job Description:

Partner with SRE, architecture, and application teams to implement security best practices and secure-by-design principles in the cloud. Plan, prioritize, and improve security initiatives to mitigate risks towards HPE networking cloud environments and assets. Collaborates with stakeholders such as engineering, product management, other security teams, program managers and partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, and support of cloud security engagements. Monitor and improve cloud security posture across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, leveraging metrics to drive improvements and governance. Support compliance activities, cloud threat detection, incident response investigations, and forensic initiatives as needed. Represents the security engineering team in various technical forums and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members. Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the networking organization.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline. Typically, 7-10 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript. Comfortable designing and implementing AI-assisted security controls. Understanding of microservice architectures and experience building secure containerized, Kubernetes-managed cloud environments leveraging Zero Trust principles. Deep working knowledge of cloud security tools & services such as Wiz, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, AWS GuardDuty and AWS CloudTrail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate product architectures and design proposals to senior leadership. Experience securing at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP), Kubernetes and related cloud technologies. Experience with compliance and audit frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST SSDF, and CIS Benchmarks.

The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. – United States of America: Annual Salary USD 155,500 - 315,000 in California The listed salary range reflects base salary.
