As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Customer Account Specialist to join our remote operations team.

Position Overview

The Customer Account Specialist is responsible for supporting customer accounts, maintaining accurate account information, processing routine account requests, and assisting customers with account-related questions. This role serves as an important point of contact between Oates Energy and the customers and property partners we support.

The ideal candidate is professional, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with customer information and web-based account systems. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with account-related questions and routine service requests
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, and other approved communication channels
  • Review customer account information and provide accurate responses
  • Update customer account information according to established procedures
  • Process authorized account changes, requests, and updates
  • Review account records for completeness and accuracy
  • Research account discrepancies and coordinate appropriate resolutions
  • Assist with billing, payment, service, and account-related questions
  • Document customer communications and account updates accurately
  • Monitor open account requests and follow up on outstanding items
  • Coordinate with billing, operations, customer service, and other internal teams
  • Identify account issues and route complex matters to the appropriate team
  • Maintain organized customer records and supporting documentation
  • Explain account information and applicable procedures clearly and professionally
  • Protect customer information and follow company privacy and data-handling procedures
  • Follow established account-management and customer-service procedures
  • Meet established service, quality, accuracy, and response-time expectations
  • Assist with account reviews, data entry, and other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Assist with other customer account and operational responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in customer service, account support, administration, billing, or a related field preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong listening, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, CRM systems, and web-based applications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple customer requests and priorities
  • Professional and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Reliable internet connection and appropriate workspace for remote work
  • Experience with CRM, billing, account-management, or customer-support systems is a plus
