Job Summary:
Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Product Manager for Data to lead the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for data and reporting applications. The role involves translating business needs into prioritized initiatives and ensuring teams focus on high-value work while supporting in-flight delivery and stakeholder alignment.
Responsibilities:
• Build deep partnerships with business leaders to identify pain points, opportunities, and measurable outcomes
• Maintain an 18-month roadmap and a 6+ month ready backlog aligned to business priorities and capacity
• Lead end-to-end business case development, ensuring clear value (ROI), defined scope, and approved prioritization
• Balance feature delivery with technical investment (reliability, scalability, modernization)
• Own requirements clarity, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder alignment across all initiatives
• Provide clear, consistent progress and roadmap reporting, enabling informed stakeholder decisions
• Define and track success metrics for delivered outcomes
• Drive prioritization trade-offs based on value, risk, and capacity
• Enforce intake, prioritization, and funding governance processes to ensure alignment to portfolio priorities
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong written communication skills for technical and executive audiences (C-suite)
• Practical experience with Agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong understanding of modern data stacks and reporting and visualization tools
• Literacy in Data Modeling, Data Ingestion, ML Modeling, Data Governance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Business Administration related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• Minimum of 3+ years' experience in product management within Agile environments
• Minimum of 3+ years' experience driving data engineering and reporting initiatives
• Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence)
• Experience using AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve productivity
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated habit of continuously teaching themselves new skills, with clear examples of recently applied learning
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Preferred:
• Deep understanding of the Microsoft data stack, including Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
• Experience with Insurance Industry data (claims, premiums, Bordereaux files…)
