Microsoft Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer (MSP)

Anchor Network Solutions Inc

Englewood, CO • On-site

Job description

Description:About the Role

Anchor Network Solutions is looking for a hands-on cloud engineer to own the technical delivery of client projects, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and the Microsoft 365 stack. You'll lead implementations from discovery through handoff, working across a diverse client base in an MSP environment. This is a project execution role, not project management.

Alongside cloud project delivery, this role has a growing AI focus. You'll help clients evaluate, implement, and support AI tools and platforms, including Microsoft's AI ecosystem as well as other leading AI platforms, and you'll contribute technical design input and hands-on development work on AI implementations as our practice in this area continues to grow.

If you've spent the last few years migrating clients to Azure and M365, are comfortable with Entra ID and hybrid identity, can still rack a switch or configure a firewall when the project calls for it, and learning and honing your AI skills sounds exciting, this role was written for you.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cloud and infrastructure projects. Examples include but are not limited to: Azure migrations, M365 tenant deployments, Entra ID/hybrid identity implementations, Intune/endpoint management, Exchange Online migrations, Teams/SharePoint rollouts, and email security configurations.

• Implement and configure Microsoft Purview for clients, including data classification, DLP, retention, sensitivity labels, and compliance/governance requirements.

• Support clients with AI adoption, evaluating and implementing AI tools and platforms (Microsoft Copilot, and other leading AI platforms), providing technical design input, and helping clients understand best practices for security, governance, and licensing.

• Deliver on-premises infrastructure work as needed. Examples include but are not limited to: network refreshes (switching, routing, VLANs, wireless, firewalls), Windows Server/Active Directory, and hybrid connectivity.

• Manage the full project lifecycle: scoping, planning, execution, documentation, and client handoff.

• Maintain real-time documentation of configurations, changes, and project status.

• Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams on milestones, risks, and next steps.

• Partner with Project Managers on scheduling, dependencies, and resource coordination.

What Success Looks Like

Accurate, on-time project delivery. Clear documentation and communication. Clients who feel taken care of. A team that trusts your technical judgment. Consistent utilization. Continuing education. A genuine curiosity about emerging cloud and AI technologies, and a willingness to help clients put them to good use.

Benefits

• Health, dental, and vision insurance

• PTO, sick time, and paid holidays

• 401(k) after 6 months

• Training and certification reimbursement

Who Will Thrive Here

• You take ownership: you follow through and communicate early when risks show up.

• You look for ways to improve systems, documentation, and client outcomes, and you're genuinely curious about new cloud and AI technologies, thoughtfully adopting them where they add value.

• You collaborate across teams and step in to help when priorities shift.

• You ask thoughtful questions and seek the "why" behind a request.

• You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• You build trust with clients and teammates through professionalism and consistency.

• You adapt to change and provide candid, respectful feedback.

Anchor Network Solutions is an equal opportunity employer. If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process, please let us know.

Requirements:What We're Looking ForRequired

• 3 to 5+ years of IT experience, with a meaningful portion in project-based or MSP delivery.

• Solid, hands-on Azure experience: comfortable with IaaS, Azure AD/Entra ID, Azure networking, and cloud migrations (AZ-104 level or equivalent real-world experience).

• Strong Microsoft 365 experience: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, and identity.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview, including data governance, compliance, and information protection features (DLP, retention, sensitivity labels).

• Exposure to AI tools and platforms (Microsoft Copilot, or other leading AI platforms) and a genuine interest in expanding into AI implementation and technical design work.

• On-prem to cloud migration experience (Active Directory to Entra ID, file shares to SharePoint/OneDrive, on-prem Exchange to Exchange Online).

• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking background.

• Networking fundamentals: VLANs, routing, switching, firewall configuration, wireless.

• Strong communication skills. You'll be client-facing on most projects.

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to lift 25 lbs (network gear).

Preferred

• Microsoft Azure certifications: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, AZ-800, AZ-140, or AZ-120.

• Microsoft 365 certifications: MS-900, MS-102, MD-102, MS-700, or MS-721.

• Experience implementing AI solutions or contributing to their technical design, whether that's Microsoft Copilot, other commercial AI platforms, or custom AI development and integration work.

• Familiarity with AI governance, security, and licensing considerations across cloud and AI platforms.

• Experience with MSP tooling (PSA/ticketing, RMM, documentation platforms).
