Job description

Primary Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
  • Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management services
  • Manage Microsoft Exchange environments, including on-premises and Microsoft 365 hybrid deployments
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including:
  • Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and Office 365 applications and services
  • Maintain, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments
  • Support Windows-based workstation and endpoint infrastructure
  • Administer VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi virtualization platforms
  • Manage Cisco UCS compute infrastructure
  • Configure, support, and troubleshoot Cisco network switches and firewalls
  • Administer enterprise storage platforms, including Dell PowerStore and Dell Isilon
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, system documentation, and runbooks

Cloud & DevOps Operations
  • Support and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and operational efficiency
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and automation tools
  • Collaborate with software development teams to support application deployments and improve operational efficiency
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, and AWS CodePipeline
  • Support containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Amazon ECS or Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, and related technologies
  • Manage AWS security controls, IAM roles, policies, and compliance best practices
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Analyze cloud utilization and recommend improvements for performance optimization and cost management

Operations & Continuous Improvement
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across cloud and on-premises platforms
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and vendor solutions
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, system upgrades, migrations, and cloud adoption initiatives
  • Collaborate with business units and IT teams to deliver reliable technology solutions

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on IT infrastructure experience in enterprise environments
  • Strong experience administering Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Windows Server, and Linux
  • Experience supporting VMware virtualization environments
  • Experience with enterprise networking, firewalls, storage, and server infrastructure
  • Practical experience supporting AWS cloud environments
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple technology domains
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Route 53, and ECS/EKS
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, or SysOps Administrator)
  • Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365, Azure, or Windows Server
  • Experience in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotechnology, or life sciences industries
