Job description

Role Overview:
Azure Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Azure-based infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Azure Infrastructure Design and Implementation
  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Develop scalable, secure, and highly available Azure architectures
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
  • Configure Azure networking components including VNets, subnets, NSGs, and hybrid connectivity
  • Utilize ARM and Bicep templates for resource deployments

Data Management and Integration
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Event Hubs
  • Manage Azure data storage solutions including Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL Database
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance within Azure environments
  • Support ETL workflows and data warehousing solutions

Terraform and Automation
  • Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules
  • Automate cloud provisioning, deployments, and configuration management
  • Integrate Terraform into CI/CD pipelines
  • Manage infrastructure lifecycle using IaC best practices

Performance and Optimization
  • Monitor and optimize Azure infrastructure performance and cost
  • Implement cost governance and resource optimization strategies
  • Ensure system reliability, security, and availability
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement corrective actions

Collaboration and Documentation
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams
  • Document infrastructure designs, Terraform modules, and architecture decisions
  • Communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong Azure expertise
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, IAM, and databases
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Experience with ARM templates and Bicep
  • Strong understanding of Azure networking concepts (VNets, subnets, security groups)
  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Event Hubs
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data pipelines
  • Familiarity with cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks
