  • We are seeking an experienced Java/Kafka Developer with strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, REST APIs, and Distributed Systems.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable, high-performance, event-driven applications while leveraging modern development and DevOps practices.
  • This role requires hands-on experience in building cloud-ready enterprise solutions, integrating distributed systems using Kafka, and driving CI/CD automation through Jenkins and modern DevOps tools.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Application Development:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and J2EE technologies.
  • Build scalable and resilient microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
  • Develop reusable, maintainable, and high-quality code following industry best practices.
  • Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements through deployment and support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and production issues.

Microservices & API Development:
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and service integrations.
  • Develop loosely coupled microservices architectures for highly scalable applications.
  • Define API contracts, security standards, and integration patterns.
  • Implement API versioning, monitoring, logging, and error handling strategies.
  • Collaborate with frontend and integration teams to ensure seamless connectivity.

Kafka & Event-Driven Architecture:
  • Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
  • Develop Kafka producers, consumers, and stream-processing applications.
  • Build high-throughput and fault-tolerant messaging solutions.
  • Configure and optimize Kafka topics, partitions, and consumer groups.
  • Monitor message delivery, performance, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot distributed messaging and data consistency issues.

Distributed Systems Engineering:
  • Develop highly available, fault-tolerant distributed applications.
  • Implement asynchronous communication and event-driven processing patterns.
  • Design scalable architectures capable of handling high transaction volumes.
  • Ensure application resiliency, reliability, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions.
  • Database Development & Optimization:Design and develop database solutions using: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL.
  • Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
  • Perform data modeling and database performance tuning.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security.
  • Support database migration and modernization activities.
  • Cloud & DevOps.
  • Participate in cloud-native application development and deployment initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes.
  • Implement DevOps best practices for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Support infrastructure automation and deployment environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.

Code Quality & Be st Practices:
  • Conduct peer code reviews and enforce coding standards.
  • Promote secure coding practices and application security compliance.
  • Ensure proper unit testing, integration testing, and automation coverage.
  • Utilize Git for source code management and version control.
  • Manage dependencies and builds using Maven.

Agile Collaboration:
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and Product Owners.
  • Provide technical estimates and support project planning activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary Range - $100,000-$120,000 a year
