Job description

Tiger Analytics is looking for experienced Cloud Engineer to join our fast-growing advanced analytics consulting firm. We are the trusted analytics partner for multiple Fortune 500 companies, enabling them to generate business value from data. We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer with strong AWS expertise to design, build, and support cloud-native applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing primarily in Python (Java acceptable), building and supporting microservices in AWS, and collaborating across full-stack environments including Angular and Node.js applications

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Architecture & Engineering
    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices in AWS (majority C1 microservices environment).
    • Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Python (Java acceptable).
    • Implement secure, highly available, and fault-tolerant solutions in AWS.
    • Support containerized deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Application Development
    • Develop backend services using Python or Java.
    • Work with Node.js for API development and service integrations.
    • Collaborate with frontend teams working in Angular to ensure seamless integration.
    • Build and manage RESTful APIs.
  • Microservices & DevOps
    • Develop and maintain microservices architecture.
    • Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices.
    • Implement logging, monitoring, and performance optimization strategies.
    • Automate infrastructure and deployments using DevOps tools.
  • Collaboration & Support
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including DevOps, UI developers, QA, and Product.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Continuously improve cloud reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.

Requirements

    • Strong programming experience in Python (Java acceptable).
    • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
    • Experience building and supporting microservices architecture.
    • Experience with Node.js for backend/API development.
    • Exposure to Angular frontend framework.
    • Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems.
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
