Job description

Job Title: Cleanroom AssemblerJob Description

Join a growing medical device manufacturer and help build innovative, life-saving products. As a Cleanroom Assembler, you will perform precise assembly work in a cleanroom environment, fitting, aligning, and adjusting small components used in balloon catheters and their delivery systems. You will work both under a microscope and at the bench, following detailed documentation and using basic measuring tools to ensure high-quality, reliable products.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cleanroom assembly of small medical device components, including fitting, alignment, and adjustment of parts according to documented procedures.
  • Follow written work instructions and documentation to set up machines, load one to two components into equipment, and operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct quick visual inspections of parts and assemblies, both under a microscope and without, to verify quality and identify defects.
  • Unload completed parts from machines and ensure they meet quality and specification requirements before moving them to the next process.
  • Use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances as required.
  • Handle and assemble very small parts using steady hands and good manual dexterity while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Work within a cleanroom environment, following gowning procedures and contamination control practices at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, complying with all safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Complete basic documentation, including recording measurements, counts, and other production data, and perform basic math as needed for the role.
  • Learn and apply new assembly and inspection techniques, including microscope use, as processes and products evolve.
Essential Skills
  • 1–2+ years of recent experience working in a manufacturing role.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cleanroom environment and follow cleanroom protocols.
  • Ability to read and use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong manual dexterity with hands and the ability to handle and assemble very small parts.
  • Interest and ability to learn or utilize a microscope for inspection and assembly tasks.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions to follow instructions and complete documentation.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
  • Comfort with a mix of microscope work (approximately 40%) and non-microscope work (approximately 60%).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in assembly or quality-related roles.
  • Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Previous experience using a microscope for inspection or assembly.
  • Experience with production, assembly, and machine operation in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with inspection practices for small components and medical devices.
