Job description

Role : Clinical Applications Trainer & Support Specialist (Behavioral Healthcare)
Work Location : Nashville, TN (We will highly prefer local candidate who can go onsite 2-3 days per week)
 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Training & Adoption
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and one-on-one training for clinical and operational staff.
  • Develop and maintain role-based training materials, job aids, quick reference guides, and workflow documentation.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and identify skill gaps across user populations.
  • Support super user, key user, and end-user training programs.
  • Facilitate training sessions for:
    • Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers
    • Behavioral Health Specialists and Therapists
    • Nursing Staff
    • Intake and Admissions Teams
    • Front Desk and Scheduling Personnel
    • Revenue Cycle and Financial Staff
    • Clinical Leadership Teams
  • Support new hire onboarding and ongoing education initiatives.
  • Assist with training effectiveness assessments and adoption measurement activities.
 
Clinical Application Support
  • Provide functional support for WellSky EHR and related clinical applications.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource on clinical workflows and application functionality.
  • Troubleshoot user issues and collaborate with technical teams and vendors to resolve system challenges.
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, and releases through communication, training, and user readiness activities.
  • Participate in go-live support, hypercare, rounding, and at-the-elbow assistance.
  • Monitor user adoption and identify opportunities for workflow improvement and optimization.
 
Workflow & Process Improvement
  • Analyze clinical and operational workflows and recommend improvements.
  • Partner with clinicians and operational leaders to align technology with business processes.
  • Assist with testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation and support.
  • Support change management and adoption activities throughout implementation lifecycles.
 
 
Required Qualifications
 
Education
  • Associate''s or Bachelor''s degree in Nursing, Behavioral Health, Healthcare Administration, Clinical Informatics, Education, or related discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
 
Experience
  • 3+ years of direct clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare, mental health, psychiatric, substance abuse treatment, or related healthcare environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience delivering healthcare application training and end-user education.
  • Experience supporting EHR implementations, upgrades, optimizations, or technology transformation initiatives.
  • Experience delivering role-based training to clinical and non-clinical healthcare audiences.
 
Required Application Experience
 
  • WellSky EHR experience is required.
  • Experience supporting one or more of the following:
    • Salesforce Health Cloud or related CRM applications
    • Patient intake and admission systems
    • Revenue cycle management applications
    • Scheduling and registration platforms
    • Clinical documentation systems
    • Secure clinical communication tools
    • Learning Management Systems (LMS)
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN), Behavioral Health Technician, Therapist, Social Worker, or other clinical credential.
  • Experience within multi-site behavioral health organizations.
  • Experience supporting clinical application conversions and go-live events.
  • Knowledge of adult learning methodologies and instructional design principles.
  • Experience developing eLearning, microlearning, and blended learning solutions.
  • Familiarity with organizational change management and user adoption best practices.
