Job description

D2B Groups is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Engineering - Microgrid & Battery Storage to lead the design and development of innovative microgrid and battery storage solutions. This pivotal role involves overseeing engineering teams focused on creating sustainable, efficient, and cutting-edge energy storage systems that meet the growing demand for reliable and renewable power sources.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Engineering Leadership:
  • Lead and manage engineering teams dedicated to the design, development, and deployment of microgrid and battery storage technologies.
  • Drive innovation and technical excellence, ensuring products meet high standards of performance, safety, and reliability.

Product Development:
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept through manufacturing and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales to align product objectives with business goals.

Technical Expertise:
  • Apply deep knowledge of energy storage systems, battery technology, power electronics, and microgrid architecture to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Project & Resource Management:
  • Establish project plans, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure successful delivery of engineering projects.
  • Manage budgets and vendor relationships to optimize cost-effectiveness.

Quality and Compliance:
  • Implement quality control measures and ensure adherence to industry standards and governmental regulations.

Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with executive leadership to shape strategic direction and technology roadmaps.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Work Environment:
  • Primarily office-based with visits to manufacturing sites, research centers, and project locations as needed.
  • Occasional travel for conferences, client meetings, or vendor evaluations.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related fields. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Strong background in microgrid systems, battery storage technologies, power electronics, and energy management.
