Join Ecolab as the Global Director of Business Development โ€“ Microelectronics within our Microelectronics division, under the Global High Tech (GHT) segment.

The Global Director of Business Development โ€“ MicroE is responsible for building and leading a world-class global business development organization that accelerates sustainable, profitable growth across the Microelectronics market. This leader will develop the strategy, organizational capabilities, talent, processes, and partnerships required to create a scalable growth platform for the future.

Reporting into the VP & GM of Global Microelectronics, this individual will sit on the Sr. Management Team and lead a global team of Business Development Managers while driving strategic market expansion, strengthening customer and industry relationships, and identifying new growth opportunities across geographies and applications. Success in this role will be measured not only by near-term revenue performance, but by the creation of an organization, a strong opportunity pipeline with robust pipelines management, and a high-performing team positioned to deliver long-term value for customers and Ecolab.

This role requires a leader who can build organizational excellence, develop talent, foster cross-functional collaboration, and establish repeatable commercial processes that support sustained growth and market leadership.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and execute a global business development strategy that delivers sustainable long-term growth aligned with the MicroE segment strategy.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global team of Business Development Managers through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and capability building.
  • Create a scalable business development operating model, including processes, tools, metrics, and governance that improve opportunity identification, qualification, and conversion.
  • Establish and maintain a robust multi-year growth pipeline by identifying new markets, applications, customer segments, and strategic partnerships.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Technical Consulting, Innovation, Supply Chain, and Regional Leadership teams to align resources and accelerate growth initiatives.
  • Maintaining and Achieving Goal Zero Safety Incidents for the Team
  • Networking and developing business relationships with end customers, general contractors, mechanical contractors, and design engineers that support the global MicroE expansion.
Position Details
  • Candidate must reside within a commutable distance of a major US airport
  • 50% overnight travel required
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 10 years of sales experience in New Construction Environments with proven sales track record, including performing Design Consulting, Project Takeoffs, Quoting, and Technical Submittals
  • 5 years of sales management experience
  • Possess a valid US Driverโ€™s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.)
  • Microelectronics design and construction experience, working with end customers, design engineers and mechanical contractors
  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience

Annual Or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $141,300.00 - $211,900.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentives based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
