Sr. Manager, Program Management Communications
The Sr. Manager, Program Management Communications is responsible for leading the successful execution of Communications Systems programs by providing operational leadership and oversight for a team of Program Managers and cross-functional personnel. The Manager is accountable for delivering customer programs in accordance with contractual requirements while meeting business objectives related to schedule, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Manager establishes departmental objectives, allocates resources, develops employees, and oversees day-to-day program execution. This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, and Business Development to ensure successful program delivery while driving operational improvements and supporting business growth.
This is a full-time position in which the candidate will be expected to work onsite in our Farmingdale, NY location. Occasional travel up to 25% of the time may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Communications Systems Program Management team, ensuring customer programs are executed in accordance with contractual requirements, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
  • Establish departmental objectives, assign resources, and prioritize work to ensure customer commitments and business goals are achieved.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate Program Managers and support staff by establishing performance expectations, providing guidance, and supporting employee development.
  • Develop and administer departmental schedules, performance metrics, staffing plans, and budget responsibilities to achieve operational objectives.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Business Development to resolve program issues and ensure successful execution of customer programs.
  • Oversee customer communications, contract execution, proposal support, and issue resolution while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Support proposal development by reviewing project plans, pricing inputs, staffing requirements, resource allocation, and financial analyses for new and existing business opportunities.
  • Analyze operational performance and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and support business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable regulatory and industry standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve technical, operational, and customer issues while balancing business priorities and customer expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • SECRET security clearance, or ability to attain a SECRET clearance, is required. Eligibility for TOP SECRET clearance is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of development activities associated with complex mission systems for commercial aerospace, foreign military, and U.S. DoD applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing customer programs and technical teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational and functional boundaries.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, staffing, and operational performance.

Required Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
Experience: 8+ years of progressively responsible program management experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6+ years with a Master's degree. Prior leadership experience overseeing Program Managers or cross-functional teams within the Aerospace & Defense industry or a comparable manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience managing programs governed by DFARS, overseeing program budgets and schedules, and supporting proposal development is highly desired. PMI/PMP or similar program management certification is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:
TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefit options include medical, dental, vision, 401k, flexible spending and health savings accounts, accident benefits, life insurance, disability benefits, paid vacation & holidays. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.
Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
$131,809 - $231,802
Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
