We are seeking an Engineering Technician IV
This posting is intended to identify qualified candidates for current and future opportunities that may be contingent upon contract award, funding approval, or position availability. Job Description:
Calling all DoD electronics rated technicians! Training will be provided upon successful hire to perform your tasking. You, under limited supervision must perform a wide variety of technical efforts following established processes to develop test routines, troubleshoot, and make repairs to electronic assemblies. ESN's focus is the support of its government customer to complete much needed life cycle support fleet usable electronic test routines utilizing various engineering drawings, manuals, and other related documentation. Once these test routines are successfully completed technicians may be called upon to troubleshoot and perform repair actions to the electronic assemblies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
· Ability to follow and adhere to quality production methods and processes.
· Ability to read and work from engineering technical data such as assembly and schematic drawings.
· Upon training received, develop electronic test routines using specialized equipment.
· Ability to troubleshoot and locate defective electronic components.
· Be able to perform miniature/micro-miniature (2M) soldering repairs to various electronic assemblies.
Experience Requirements:
· 2M/MTR experience, minimum three (3) years preferred but not required.
· Experience in the testing and repair of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) in the Module Test and Repair (MTR), Gold Disk, or Repair Enhancement Programs.
· Gold Disk User/Development, minimum three (3) years preferred but not required.
· Working knowledge and understanding of the US Navy supply system.
· Ability to read schematics and perform electronics troubleshooting. Competent in the use of computer programs such as MS Windows Paint, MS Word, and MS Access.
Education Requirements:
· Completion of a military advanced electronics school(s) and serving as an electronic repair technician 4 years.
· High school graduate or equivalent technical school diploma with 4 years' experience in electrical/electronic systems.
Security Clearance:
· Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance.
