Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled Soldering Technician with experience in precision, small-part assembly to join our team in Westwood, MA. This role is ideal for someone with exceptional manual dexterity, steady hands, and a passion for working with intricate electronic components.
In this position, you will assemble, repair, and inspect high-reliability components under a microscope, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and engineering specifications. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of advanced products in a clean, controlled production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Precision Soldering & Assembly
    Perform fine-pitch soldering and assembly of small mechanical and electronic components using microscopes and magnification tools, ensuring precise alignment and high-quality workmanship.
  • Technical Interpretation
    Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions to ensure accurate assembly and compliance with specifications.
  • Quality Inspection & Control
    Inspect completed assemblies for defects, dimensional accuracy, and functionality using precision measurement tools and visual inspection techniques.
  • Tool & Equipment Operation
    Utilize specialized hand tools, fixtures, and equipment designed for small-part assembly and high-precision work.
  • Cleanroom & Workspace Standards
    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and cleanroom protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement
    Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, improve quality, and reduce waste.
