About the Role
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, medical history, and allergy/asthma updates.
  • Accurately documenting in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Assisting providers with clinical procedures and testing.
  • Managing clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support.
  • Contributing to daily team flow, supporting both patients and fellow staff.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community college program preferred
At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or CNA
Ability to multi-task and provide support to multiple providers
Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
BLS certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred

General Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings.
