Position: MHP (Mental Health Professional)

Classification: 1099 Contractor (Non-Exempt)

Summary:

The primary function of the Mental Health Professional (MHP) is to provide ongoing monitoring, support and behavioral health support services to adults, children, and families. The MHP might engage in diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, clinical supervision, clinical review and signature, weekly and/or monthly meetings with staff. The MHP will follow a strengths-based model to develop and build skills that will help adults, children and families function autonomously and successfully.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates an awareness, appreciation and respect for diverse cultures and individual differences of clients and fellow employees.
  • Participates actively in quality assurance activities including performance and outcomes review, case record review, agency satisfaction review, incident review, and improvement planning.
  • Establish relationships and communications with adults, children, families and Treatment Team members.
  • Identifies and seeks resolution for potential problems arising.
  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate program records and documentation.
  • Assess program outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Attends staff / agency meetings.

Knowledge, Experience, and Key Competencies:

  • Proven experience working in behavioral health programs or similar programs.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, families, and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability in program management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Experience working with adults, children, and families with mental health needs, including but not limited to trauma, anxiety, depression, ASD, and related conditions.
  • Proficient in clinical assessments.
  • Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Professional and timely response with both verbal and non-verbal communications.

Position Requirements:

  • Masters or Doctoral Degree in behavioral science/related field (psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, education, etc.)
  • Maintain an active, unrestricted independent clinical license as a mental health professional in the State of Minnesota (LP, LPCC, LICSW, LMFT)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
