Job description

      • Coverage Type: Inpatient/OP Surgery/L&D
      • Reason for Coverage: Coverage Gap 
      • Interview Required: Yes
      • Will you take IMLC compact license candidates? Yes
      • Any Certifications needed like ACLS, BLS etc. ACLS, PALS
      • Will you reimburse vendor for costs associated with licensing Provider? No
      • Any type of Vaccine needed like Flu or Covid: Not required
      • Practice Type is Hospital or Clinic: Hospital
      • Number Hospitals Locum will cover: Although there are 2 facilities 45 miles apart, facility needs coverage at the MHCC location at this time.
      • Patient Population: Mostly adult, light pediatric. If yes, what age group of children does the locum need to be experienced in? No surgical patients under three years old, other than L&D Neonatal? Not outside L&D Trauma? Yes
      • Average Patients per day: 7-10
      • Type of procedure locum will be required to perform: Local and General; blocks and epidurals are required
      • Will the locum be working under supervision or independently? APPs are LIPs in the state of Wyoming
      • Will there be an Anesthesiology Physician on site all the time? No
      • Will they be working SOLO? Rarely, but yes if they are on call.
      • How many Physicians and CRNA are there? We usually have 3-4 anesthesia providers (CRNAs and/or MDA/DOA) per day.
      • Start Date: As soon as credentialed. We can even start mid-May
      • End Date: Ongoing through 2026 at least; potentially 2027

      What type of surgeries will be expected to be performed at this facility: Yes or No

      1.    Cardiac - No

      2.    Complete Ortho - Yes

      3.    Complex Vascular - No

      4.    Head Spine – Spine, no cranial

      5.    Neuro - Yes

      6.    OB - Yes

      7.    Pediatric – Yes, mostly L&D and ENT

      8.    Regional - Yes

      9.    Thoracic - No


      Dates:

      • Facility needs coverage 2 weeks per month. The exact dates are not available as they are flexible in their schedule.
      • Ideally, they prefer someone who can cover 2 weeks per month but they are okay to a review candidates who are available 1 week per month Mon -Fri.


      Candidate Requirements:

      • Active WY State License or IMLC.
      • Certifications: ACLS - Required if requesting conscious sedation privileges, PALS-AHA issued, ATLS-AHA issued.
