In your role as an LMFT, you will engage in a variety of essential tasks, including:

• Conducting assessments and developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals and families.
• Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, families, and individuals, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
• Addressing key issues such as substance abuse, familial conflicts, communication barriers, and grief and loss.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), to drive positive patient outcomes.
• Regularly evaluating progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to support growth and healing.
• Collaborating with other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.
• Documenting all interactions and treatment plans in accordance with ethical guidelines and organizational policies.

Your clinical focus will encompass a wide range of patient demographics, including adults, children, and adolescents. You will specialize in supporting individuals and families facing challenges such as:

• Alcohol abuse and recovery
• Domestic violence and trauma recovery
• Communication difficulties among family members
• Adjustment to life transitions, including divorce and separation
• Emotional struggles tied to blended families and parenting
• Grief and loss related to significant life events

The ideal candidate for this remote LMFT position will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and active state license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Strong clinical skills with a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster trust and rapport with clients.

Although not mandatory, the following experiences and skills are highly desirable:

• Experience in teletherapy and traditional in-person counseling settings.
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities specific to family therapy.
• A background in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
• Previous involvement in community outreach or education initiatives.
