Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, aligning with their individual goals, preferences, and requirements.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client recovery and self-management.
• Provide psychoeducation for clients and their families surrounding mood disorders, treatment alternatives, and effective self-care practices.
• Continuously monitor client progress, documenting changes in condition and modifying treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.
• Stay informed about advancements in the field through ongoing education, workshops, and peer consultations, ensuring the application of the most effective treatment strategies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to further enhance clinical skills.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and champion efforts to reduce stigma associated with mental health issues in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on individuals facing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, therapists will provide supportive services to vulnerable populations, including those who are homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your expertise will help clients navigate their mental health challenges, enhancing their quality of life and empowering them to achieve long-term recovery.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.
• A nonjudgmental and empathetic approach to client interactions, recognizing the diverse backgrounds and experiences of clients.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen ability to manage time effectively, balancing clinical responsibilities and administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working specifically with clients experiencing mood disorders and crisis intervention is preferred.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices to effectively engage clients in a virtual environment.

• Competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
