Job description

Faculty Positions - Obstetrics/Gynecology (Maternal Fetal Medicine)

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates Inc., an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University, is seeking to fill full-time faculty positions in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Non-tenure track appointments will be made at a rank (Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor) and salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include providing excellent patient care to hospitalized patients and clinical care as well as consultations for outpatients; teaching residents and medical students; and maintaining an active research portfolio. MFM specialists work 5 to 7 half-day sessions in the clinical area and have three half-days to perform surgery, complete administrative responsibilities, and conduct scholarly work. In addition, MFM specialists take daytime, weekend, and night calls, including on-call labor and delivery.

Applicants must be board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, on schedule for or board certified in MFM, and eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia and Maryland at the time of appointment. Advertised salary is $325,000 - $500,000. The institution is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. GW is an established downtown practice with expanding services in the surrounding suburbs of the District of Columbia.
