Job description

Location: Unclaimed Baggage: Retail
Position: Mezzanine Team Member
Basic Function: A basic understanding of electronic technology and devices is desirable, but not necessary to apply for this position. The main function of this position is to interact with our guests. Make every effort to ensure that each guest that you meet is having an exceptional shopping experience and if they aren't, understand what you can do to help the situation. Remember that to serving our guests is our goal and that is simply learning what their electronic/sporting goods wants, interests and needs are. Strong emphasis on developing product knowledge.
General Responsibilities:
  • Exceptional Guest Service is a must in this one-on-one sales environment. Go the extra mile to make sure all guests feel welcome and get top notch service; learning their electronics wants, interests and needs
  • Be familiar with location of merchandise and help guests locate items
  • Be familiar with technical information about electronic devices, as provided by Mezzanine Supervisor
  • Be familiar with the policies and procedures of the Mezzanine including but not limited to: Camera warranty policy, merchandise hold policy, charger/accessory procedures as it relates to cameras, cell phones, lap tops, etc
  • Keep merchandise on fixtures and in showcase area organized; Remember to keep the department in Grand Open Ready condition
  • Fixtures and showcases are to be kept clean and dusted
  • Stock merchandise to showcases areas and on the sales floor as directed by management in an accurate and timely manner
  • Return hangers to proper location
  • Basic function and understanding of the cash register required
  • Maintain neat cash wrap and showcase areas
  • Report all suspicious activity or shoplifting to Asset Protection Manager
  • All other tasks assigned by management

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Light to moderate lifting is required
  • Repetitive motion is also required

Schedule Hours:
  • 40 hours per week position requiring one to be at work as early as 7:00 am and stay as late as 8:30 pm. Flexibility in scheduling is required.
  • Saturdays are required; average one Saturday off each month
  • All major holidays are also a requirement (excluding Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)
  • Wednesday and Friday of Thanksgiving Week are required
  • Annual Winter & Ski Event (1stSaturday in November) is required

Reporting Relationship: Reports directly to Mezzanine Supervisor
