Veterinary Technician / Assistant โ€“ Internal Medicine

Elevate your veterinary career at Metropolitan Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services (MVS) in Louisville, KY. We are seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician or Assistant to partner directly with our Internal Medicine department. This role balances advanced clinical nursing with meaningful client connections in a high-caliber specialty environment.

Schedule

  • Four-day work week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
  • 7:00 AM โ€“ 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Manage the daily schedule of appointments, diagnostics, and procedures for your Internist.
  • Advanced Procedures: Assist with ultrasound, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and biopsies.
  • Anesthesia & Sedation: Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing high-level imaging and procedures.
  • Diagnostics: Perform advanced venipuncture, blood gas analysis, urinalysis, and cytology preparation.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary bridge to empower clients with treatment, empathy, and at-home care knowledge.

Requirements

  • Technician: Valid Veterinary Technician License (LVT/RVT/CVT) and excellent technical skills.
