JOB TITLE: Ultrasound Technologist-ARDMS Certified

EMPLOYER: Metroplex Medical Centre

REPORTS TO: Practice Manager

EFFECTIVE DATE: 3/1/26

SUMMARY:

This Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This position requires the ability to operate sophisticated ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of various body parts, ensuring accurate and timely results. The Ultrasound Technologist collaborates closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret preliminary findings and provide essential data for patient care decisions. Attention to patient comfort and safety is paramount, as the role involves direct patient interaction and the need to explain procedures clearly and compassionately. Ultimately, the Ultrasound Technologist contributes to improved patient outcomes through precise imaging and effective communication within the medical team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and position patients appropriately for CT imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the processโ€ขPerform CT scans following physician orders and imaging protocolsโ€ขEnsure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioningโ€ขOperate and maintain CT imaging equipmentโ€ขAdhere to radiation safety and regulatory guidelinesโ€ขAccurately document procedures and patient informationโ€ขCollaborate with radiologist and clinical staffโ€ขPerforms other related duties as assigned by management

ARRT certification in Computed Tomographyโ€ขValid Texas state license (if applicable)โ€ขMinimum 2+ years of CT experience preferredโ€ขStrong knowledge of radiation safety standardsโ€ขExcellent communication and patient-care skills
