We have an exciting opportunity for an Full-Time Inventory Lead to join us on our journey to transform our bold ambitions for the Missouri medical cannabis market into a reality.
OurFull-Time Inventory Lead will work out of our Proper Cannabis location in Bridgeton. The inventory lead works 40 hours a week. The schedule could include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. The pay for the Inventory Lead starts at $18/hour plus pooled tips.
Position Summary
The Retail Inventory Lead will play a crucial role in managing the dispensary's inventory and ensuring accurate stock levels. Their primary responsibilities will include overseeing inventory tracking systems, managing inventory audits, coordinating stock replenishment, receiving product deliveries, and collaborating with various departments to optimize inventory management processes. They will be responsible for maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining a well-organized and efficient inventory system. They will work closely with the Retail Inventory Manager on inventory issues and discrepancies. This position is responsible for upholding Proper Cannabis's mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Counting and reconciling inventory;
  • Performing daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inventory audits and reconciliations;
  • Maintaining an organized vault and inventory space for cannabis products;
  • Validating product consistency between Dutchie and METRC by performing an integration audit daily;
  • Relaying inventory issues to the SM and RIM after investigating root cause;
  • Receiving and inputting deliveries;
  • Preparing the vault and fulfillment areas for deliveries;
  • Intake store delivery - count, accept in METRC, accept in Dutchie, input expiration dates;
  • Validating tiers, THC, pricing, product masters;
  • Coordinating with the RIM to maintain a diverse product selection;
  • Building and maintaining product masters;
  • Updating in store menu;
  • Scrubbing our website, Leafly, and Weedmaps for product master or description errors and addressing;
  • Maintaining displays in accordance with state regulations;
  • Filling in as coverage as needed;
  • Bud tending;
  • Working front desk;
  • Running fulfillment.

Qualifications
The following education, skills, and experience are required for this role:
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Missouri and local cannabis laws;
  • Ability to obtain a Missouri Agent ID;
  • Must be 21 years of age or older;
  • Valid Driver's License & Clear MV report based on company MV requirements;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills;
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Thorough understanding of the medicinal implications and effects of strains including Sativa, Indica, and Hybrids.

The following education, skills, and experience are preferred for this role:
  • 3+ years in retail and guest services;
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership environment;
  • 2+ years of cannabis retail experience
