Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Cure Room Specialist exists to support the facility's Compliance department in its endeavor to sustain and grow the business at King City Gardens through effective quality control monitoring and reporting of cannabis and cannabis products in the cultivation facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The cure specialist also functions as a METRC employee and assists with record-keeping
  • Reports to Cure Room Supervisor and Compliance Manager on all compliance and METRC-related issues
  • Assists and maintains the METRC internal tracking system under the supervision of the Cure Supervisor
  • "Burping" flower bins and jars during cure time to ensure our product is at the highest potential quality at all times
  • Maintaining constant awareness of product in the Cure Room and harvest batches stored in other parts of the facility
  • Be knowledgeable on proper cannabis curing and basics of strain identification
  • Meets on a daily and weekly basis with the Director and/or other Compliance personnel to stay informed of upcoming compliance and METRC-related changes throughout the facility
  • Participates in routine (weekly) audits of the packages and harvest batches being cured or stored in the Cure Room
  • Responsible for monitoring the compliance and quality of all packages and harvest batches in the Cure Room
  • Making bulk bud packages from harvest batches, verifying information and quality throughout the entire process
  • Prepare for and conduct third-party lab sampling of marijuana batches as needed
  • Reviewing test results and verifying proper procedure is being followed with the bulk packages after they've been tested
  • Assists Cure Room Supervisor with regularly scheduled and unannounced internal audits as well as internal audits of all METRC submissions
  • Assists Director of Compliance in preparation for announced/unannounced state inspections (quarterly and annually)
  • Perform any other related duties that will be assigned throughout your employment
  • Commit yourself to treating every individual with respect and dignity

Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 30 lbs to a height of 4 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight as needed with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to stand without assistance for extended periods of time at required work stations
  • Must be able to handle organic plant matter daily
  • Must be able wear required PPE throughout entirety of shift
