Job description

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group Department of Neurology is currently seeking a licensed full-time Neuropsychologist to provide comprehensive neuropsychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with neurological, medical, and psychiatric conditions. The Neuropsychologist will work collaboratively with Neurologists to support high quality, patient- centered care.

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for adult patients.
  • Interpret test results, integrate clinical data, and formulate diagnostic impressions.
  • Prepare timely, high-quality written reports with clear recommendations for treatment and care planning.
  • Provide feedback to patients, families, and referring providers.
  • Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical meetings.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and evidenced based practices in neuropsychology.

Qualifications

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology with formal training in Neuropsychology.
  • Completion of an APA or CPA accredited internship.
  • Completion of postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • Eligibility for license or active license as a psychologist in the state of Texas.
  • Board eligibility or board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABPP-CN preferred)
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and report writing skills.
