Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist

Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Houston Methodist Hospital | Houston, Texas

The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at Houston Methodist Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologist with fellowship training in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology to join its growing Cardiovascular Anesthesiology team.

This faculty position offers the opportunity to provide anesthetic care for a diverse and complex cardiovascular case mix, including adult cardiac, vascular, thoracic, transplant, and structural heart procedures. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing clinical excellence.

Houston Methodist's Cardiovascular Anesthesiology team supports more than 6,000 adult cardiovascular procedures annually, including complex cases performed in both operating rooms and catheterization laboratories. Faculty members play an integral role in patient safety initiatives, quality improvement efforts, clinical innovation, and the continued growth of the cardiovascular anesthesia program.

As a leading academic medical center, Houston Methodist is dedicated to excellence in education and research. Faculty actively participate in the education and mentorship of anesthesiology residents, Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellows, medical students, and other trainees through clinical instruction, conferences, and formal educational programs. The department is home to an Anesthesiology Residency Program, Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Fellowship, and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship, creating a rich academic environment with numerous opportunities for professional development.
