Oncology
Our Oncology unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuitypatients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our leadership team fosters an environment that supportslearning, mentoring, and building every team member.
Patient Population:Majority of our patients are of medical, and we have a mixture of medical and surgical oncology patients and occasionally administer IV chemotherapy.
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Number of Beds: 16
Department Specifics: We are Commission on Cancer recognized hospital and a Sammons Cancer Center, which means that we provide a variety of care for patients that include the availability of Nurse Navigators, Child Life Specialists as well as a fully staffed Supportive and Palliative Care Team. In addition, we strive to get all our nurses' chemotherapy certified within the first 6 months of being an employee.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Min of 1 yr. Acute Care, Med Surg hospital RN experience
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
