A Civil Construction Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with design specifications and regulatory requirements. They collaborate with contractors, clients, and project teams, managing schedules, resources, technical issues, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. Client Details This organization is a well-established sitework and landscape construction and maintenance contractor serving residential, commercial, and municipal clients throughout New Jersey. The company specializes in landscape design, site development, hardscaping, irrigation systems, planting, and comprehensive grounds maintenance services. It manages a wide range of outdoor improvement projects, including public spaces, corporate campuses, residential communities, and other large-scale landscape installations. With a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction, the organization provides end-to-end project management from planning and construction through ongoing maintenance, supported by experienced project teams and skilled field personnel. Known for its reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to sustainable practices, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality landscape and site development solutions. Description Plan, coordinate, and oversee civil construction projects from inception to completion. Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and procurement activities. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor construction progress and resolve technical, operational, and site-related issues. Experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control. Knowledge of relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations. Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical and operational challenges. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Proficiency in project management and engineering software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, or similar tools. Ability to monitor project progress, prepare reports, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality construction outcomes. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
