## Management Professional – Wastewater Planning- Central Services FacilityApplylocations: 6425 Huber St Detroit, MI 48211time type: Full timeposted on: Posted 2 Days Agojob requisition id: R26\_0000000152**Compensation**$78,075.83 - $141,128.88(Based on Experience)**Summary**: Responsible for assisting the Wastewater Analytics, Planning and Metering group in the development and execution of projects and business case evaluations through metering, modeling, data collection and data analysis. Supports operations through the meaningful use of data. Assists in the development of capital forecasting, asset probability indices and asset impact indices through collaboration with asset management. Assists with the execution of long-term planning initiatives such as master planning, facilities planning, evaluation of system improvements and optimization opportunities. This position reports to the group’s Director and is primarily responsible for managing planning projects. We are looking for a candidate who can collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders and who can use data to support the decision-making process. This position supports the delivery of GLWA’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) through effective management of planning projects including scope, schedule, cash flow, creation of new projects, and other GLWA Project Management Plan (PMP) requirements. Additionally, this position assists with Stormwater Management Modeling (SWMM) simulations and sewer metering in partnership with the Analytics and Metering team members. The candidate must be able to work in a collaborative environment with internal GLWA team members, member partners, and regional stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management. The candidate must be able to work in groups and teams of analysts, modelers, engineers, and various technical and non-technical professionals. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to author the writing of reports, technical memoranda and presentations to stakeholders.**Job Responsibilities*** Works under the direction of Wastewater Analytics, Planning and Metering Director. Works collaboratively to meet the needs of operations and engineering.* Establishes and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, inclusive of Member Partners.* Manages scope, schedule and budgets for project delivery and reporting, and coordinates with the CIP Program Controls Team.* Authors, advertises, and awards RFPs in support of projects. Manage contracts and ensure the project team adheres to the CIP Program’s standard methodologies as described in the Project Management Plan (PMP).* Reviews technical memorandums, reports, plans, drawings, specifications, and detailed computations prepared by consultants.* Performs data analysis, engineering computations, evaluations, and simulations in support of business case evaluations, leveraging various information systems and tools, such as NEXGEN, GIS, Ovation, PowerBI, SWMM, SUMO, python, and others depending on the project.* Develop business case evaluations documenting purpose, justification, alternatives, costs, and risks in support of new projects.* Collaboratively develops new project recommendations to ensure they meet the needs of operations and engineering and are in alignment with GLWA’s goals and priorities.* Supports the Director with the development of system reliability methodologies as a performance indicator of regional resilience.* Assists in managing NEXGEN, coordinating with contractors and GLWA staff.* Stays current with industry trends by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations.* Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties.* Perform field investigations as needed.**Required Education and Experience**At the time of application, applicant must:A. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil, environmental, or related engineering discipline **AND** three (3) or more years of experience in project management, preferably in a municipal or public utility setting**OR**B.
