RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

Job Summary

Responsible for driving and overseeing sales growth for powder metal (PM) components for customers based out of USA. Develop strategic partnerships with automotive and industrial clients, manage a portfolio of accounts, and identify new business opportunities. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key clients, including automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify new sales opportunities and expand market share.
  • Technical Sales: Coordinate with engineering teams to provide technical solutions for customer needs.
  • Forecasting: Determine product sales volume forecasts (1–5-year outlook).
  • Reporting: Present sales, revenue, and expense reports to senior management.
  • Collaboration:  Work with plant operations and customer service in Mexico & Germany to ensure production schedules and customer demands are met.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 5+ years of sales experience with Powder metallurgy components for automotive / industrial applications working in USA.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of P/M processes, components and related applications.
  • Strategic Planning: Proven ability to create and implement sales strategies. 

Relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Percentage growth in regional/national revenue (e.g., 30%+ YOY).
  • Number of new accounts acquired.
  • Increase in customer retention rates.
  • Accuracy of sales forecasts

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering / Metallurgy engineering.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with customers and technical teams. 
  • Problem-solving abilities to diagnose technical issues and propose solutions. 
  • Experience in relevant industry applications (e.g., Automotive OEMs / Tiers, Aerospace, Industrial).
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • English mandatory, German desirable

  • EXTERNAL: Customers in USA (Engineering, Design, Purchasing, Quality, Vendor development)
  • INTERNAL: Sales, engineering, production, quality & Management
