GENERAL SUMMARY
Safely and efficiently operate a stamping press producing stamped parts. The primary focus being on safety, quality, and efficient production techniques by utilizing the NASG Press standards and procedures. Continuous improvement attitude with a willingness to adopt new ideas/skills using the TQPS principles of TSL. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Operate stamping Presses as required - including any auxiliary equipment.
B. 5-S as a PRIORITY - Keep station clean and orderly.
C. Initiate press start-up and adjust as required after a set-up.
D. Changeover & Set-up of stamping dies and presses.
E. Adjust process parameters as dictated from the Die Set-up sheet
F. Set-up and adjust auxiliary equipment as required: coil feeders, straighteners, etc.
G. Part Inspection per Inspection Instructions: This includes visual inspections, & associated
H. Die Set-up sheets - report updated information to Leaders as needed.
I. Verify production schedule using the Shop Edge system.
J. Report all quality, production or safety problems to the Team Leader.
K. Perform & maintain 5-S standards in area of responsibility.
L. Suggest methods of improvement, (i.e. continuous improvement plan & performance award program).
M. Available for overtime as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• High school diploma or GED - minimum
• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrated basic math skills
Experience:
• 2 Years manufacturing
• Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills
• Prefer previous experience in an assembly / manufacturing environment.
Personal/Technical Skills:
• Ability to work with a dynamic and demanding team.
• Accurate, efficient, & proactive in daily duties.
• Ability to conduct basic maintenance or mechanical activities as required.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Accountable - teachable - approachable
• Ability to learn, make decisions, and be creative & flexible.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds
• Ability to stand up for a minimum of 8 hours.
