Transportation and Fleet Manager - Grafton, WI 

Primary Responsibilities

Fleet Management

  • Manage daily fleet operations for Steel Blue Logistics.
  • Oversee acquisition, leasing, and disposal of vehicles.
  • Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and overall fleet performance.
  • Ensure timely maintenance and compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Develop and manage driver schedules and assignments.

Transportation Operations

  • Direct daily transportation activities, including scheduling, dispatching, and shipment tracking.
  • Plan and optimize transportation routes for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Analyze freight spend, identify inefficiencies, and implement cost-reduction strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, 3PLs, and freight forwarders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of transportation industry and fleet management practices.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
