Job description

Metal Fabrication Technician

Direct Hire | Bloomington, MN | $25–$30/hour + Excellent Benefits

We're partnering with a growing manufacturer of custom-engineered air handling and filtration systems to add a Metal Fabrication Technician to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on fabrication work in a clean, climate-controlled shop with opportunities to learn new skills and grow within the organization.

If you have experience with sheet metal fabrication, press brakes, and blueprint reading, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brakes, shears, saws, punches, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment.
  • Fabricate precision components from blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform quality inspections using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Complete machine setups and make adjustments to ensure quality production.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Assist with material handling, packaging, and other production tasks as needed.
  • Follow safety and quality standards while producing high-quality fabricated parts.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication or metal manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience operating press brakes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Dependable with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNC fabrication equipment experience.
  • Router table experience.
  • Machine setup and basic programming adjustments.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
