Familiarity with test management tools, bug tracking systems like Jira, and automation frameworks such as Selenium is commonly required. Strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and problem-solving skills help Meta Testers collaborate with development teams and identify user experience issues. These skills ensure that software products meet quality standards and function reliably for end users.

What is Meta Testing?

Meta Testing refers to the process of evaluating the effectiveness and reliability of testing methods or testing frameworks themselves, rather than the product or software being tested. This can involve analyzing test strategies, tools, or methodologies to ensure they deliver accurate and meaningful results. Meta Testing helps organizations optimize their quality assurance processes by identifying gaps or inefficiencies in their testing approaches. It is particularly useful in complex or large-scale software projects where testing practices need continual improvement.

The hiring process is competitive and often involves multiple interview rounds assessing technical skills, problem-solving ability, and cultural fit.

These roles can be found through reputable companies or job boards and may involve testing physical products, software, or services, sometimes with compensation or free products in exchange for feedback.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in Meta Testing, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in Meta Testing often encounter challenges such as rapidly evolving testing frameworks, ensuring compatibility across multiple platforms, and maintaining clear communication with cross-functional teams. Staying current with the latest testing tools and methodologies is crucial, as is developing strong documentation skills to track test cases and results. Regular collaboration with developers and product managers helps to clarify requirements and quickly resolve issues, fostering a more efficient and supportive work environment.

What jobs will no longer exist in 2030?

Meta Testing roles may decline by 2030 as automation, AI, and machine learning tools increasingly handle testing processes, reducing the need for manual testing jobs. Jobs focused on manual quality assurance and basic testing tasks are likely to be replaced or transformed, emphasizing skills in automation tools and programming. However, roles involving complex problem-solving and oversight will continue to require human expertise.

Job description

This position is full time, in-office, five days a week in Tyrone, south Atlanta

PERFORMANCE MARKETING STRATEGIST (GOOGLE ADS, META & SEO)

Harbinger Marketing • Full-Time • In-Office • Tyrone, GA • $70,000 – $85,000

WHO WE ARE     Harbinger Marketing is a fast-growing outsourced digital marketing agency based in Tyrone, GA. We serve as the full marketing department for local and regional businesses — home services, professional services, and beyond. We build marketing strategies, but more importantly, we build people. Our culture emphasizes mutual respect, transparency, growth, and a shared pursuit of excellence.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You're a digital marketing executer. You've spent years inside Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts — building campaigns, managing budgets, testing creative, and answering for the results. You've executed SEO strategies end-to-end: keyword research, on-page optimization, local SEO. You know how these channels fit together in a business's marketing plan, because you've built those plans yourself.

Now you're ready to apply that expertise across a portfolio of accounts instead of living in a single ad account all day.

As our Digital Marketing Strategist, you'll own the digital marketing results for a defined group of client accounts. You'll set the channel strategy, direct our PPC specialists and support team, catch problems before clients do, and make sure every account is moving toward its goals.

Digital marketing expertise is required for this role and you will work closely with marketing directors who represent the goals of our clients and our ads specialists who are responsible for managing the day to day

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Strategy. Build and maintain the digital marketing strategy for each client in your portfolio. The unique channel mix, budget allocation, keyword and audience strategy, and campaign priorities grounded in each client's market and goals.

Performance. Own results across Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, local listings, call tracking, and review generation. Monitor trends, spot risks and opportunities early, and keep budget pacing on track.

Direction. Give PPC specialists clear, data-driven direction on campaign and creative adjustments and guide our SEO work, keyword targeting, content priorities, and local SEO. You direct the "what" and "why"; specialists own the "how."

Onboarding. Ensure new client accounts launch correctly from tracking, listings, ad accounts, and reporting baselines verified before go-live.

Communication. Deliver clear performance reporting to leadership and account managers, translating cross-channel data into plain-language insights and recommended actions. Serve as the first escalation point when something's off.

YOU'RE A FIT IF YOU HAVE

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and managing Google Ads campaigns and Meta Ads campaigns — not adjacent to the work, doing the work

• Executed SEO strategy end-to-end: keyword research, on-page optimization, content strategy, and local SEO (Google Business Profile, citations, reviews)

• Strong analytics fluency: GA4, Google Tag Manager, call tracking, and turning multi-platform data into a clear story for non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have-

• Experience marketing local or service-area businesses or B2B businesses

• Agency or multi-account experience

• Come prepared to walk us through a local-business campaign you personally built — the strategy, the execution, and the numbers

THIS PROBABLY ISN'T FOR YOU IF

• Your experience is primarily in social media content, graphic design, or video production

• You've analyzed or reported on campaigns but never built and managed them yourself

• You'd need someone else to make the channel strategy calls

WHAT WINNING LOOKS LIKE

• Every account in your portfolio has a clear strategy and demonstrates forward progress against client goals

• Performance issues are caught and corrected early — before clients notice, and before they escalate

• Specialists execute confidently because your direction is specific and grounded in data

• New accounts launch correctly, completely, and on time

• Leadership trusts your read on any account in your portfolio at any moment

WHAT WE OFFER

• Competitive salary of $70,000 – $85,000 based on experience

• 14 days of PTO annually, plus paid national holidays

• Laptop and accessories provided

• Fully funded team-building activities

• Flexible work schedule

• Access to certifications and professional development tools

• Clear paths for career advancement
